As you know Every Child Matters and I believe every child also deserves a proper lunch at school. Too many of our school children have to put up with long queues, insufficient time to eat and often nowhere to eat comfortably.
That's why I am calling for the following:
1. A chair for every child in every school dining hall.
2. Table space for every child in every school dining hall.
3. A protected lunch break - with no more than 50% of time to be spent queuing.
4. A national audit of school dining room facilities.
Will you take action now to ensure that these simple steps are implemented?
